Hotel

When visiting Amsterdam I decided to book the Best Western Amsterdam Airport Hotel, which is 4 star hotel which is located in a nice and peaceful location, however this is around about 10 minutes car journey to Amsterdam Central.

The hotel was generally clean and tidy. The Check in was quick and the room was clean and welcoming. The Hotel also has a Swimming pool on the ground floor along with a Gym. The Room was large and airy with all the modern features and also had a Kitchen.

The hotel also offers a free shuttle service to and from Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport this makes your transfer to the hotel easier and much quicker. Just look out for the Best Western branded coach outside the airport which will take you to the hotel.

Location

The hotel is nice and clean for the price and offers the usual services as well as a good night’s sleep. The hotel also features a restaurant, gym room and also a indoor swimming pool.

However, if you prefer other fast food place like McDonalds then there is one located opposite the hotel, which is really handy.

Day 1: Visting Kuekenhof – The Garden of Europe

Kuekenhof is located in Lisse, South Holland, Netherlands and is the world’s largest flower garden. It opens once a year between 22 March until 13 May and there are more than 7 million bulbs in bloom with a total of 800 varieties of tulips.

It is known as the Garden of Europe and is located about 40 mins away from Amsterdam Central.

A must visit if you love nature as it is simply mind blowing. I would definitely be visiting next year as this is a great day out for the whole family to enjoy. If you are into nature and flowers then I recommend that you visit.

The garden is child friendly so you can take your kids along as there are play areas and many nice places to eat and relax throughout the park.

I would recommend spending a whole day here as there is so much to see and you can also you can take a trip in the Whisper boat. These boats travel through the beautiful Dutch flower bulb landscape and takes around 45 minutes. The views are just amazing so make sure you have your camera ready.
